We all have the power to control our cancer risk.
Committee Focus
Five-year survival rates are substantially lower for people diagnosed with advanced-stage disease. Screening that leads to early-stage diagnosis greatly improves the chances of survival.
The committee focuses on promoting screenings for breast, cervical, colon, prostate, and lung cancer; strengthening provider relationships; helping people understand available resources; reducing late-stage diagnosis; expanding HPV vaccination awareness; and identifying barriers that keep underserved Delawareans from getting screened.
