The HPV vaccine is a safe, proven, and powerful way to prevent HPV — and six types of HPV-related cancer. Encourage your patients to vaccinate their children, to give them lasting protection.


According to the CDC,
the HPV vaccine can prevent six types of HPV-related cancer.
The HPV vaccine is most effective when given between ages 9 and 12. Early vaccination provides the strongest protection, but it is still effective for adolescents as well as young adults up to age 26.

A recommendation from you could give them lasting cancer protection. Download or order materials to educate your patients and encourage them to vaccinate their child.
Help is available to pay for the HPV vaccine.
The Immunization Program provides the vaccine for Medicaid-eligible kids up to age 19, under the Vaccines for Children Program, and for adults with no insurance under the Section 317 Program. Public health clinics also provide the vaccine at no cost.
If you don’t have insurance or can’t afford the HPV vaccine, there is a program that could pay for the visit to get the vaccine.
